Noah’s Ark Mission Statement

Noah’s Ark Preschool is a ministry of First Presbyterian Church, existing to serve the children and families of the congregation and community in a Christian environment. While striving to meet individual needs for mental, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth, we seek to develop each child’s self image, to encourage his/her interpersonal relationship with others, and to teach the child about the love of God for all people.”

Noah’s Ark Preschool is an outreach program of First Presbyterian Church. We offer a nurturing and loving environment that strives to meet individual needs of students by fostering academic, social, spiritual, emotional and physical growth. We have classes for children ages 3 months – K4 with 3 and 5 day classes. Students attend weekly Music and Spanish classes. Students who graduate from Noah’s Ark Preschool are well prepared to enter Kindergarten, having learned the social skills and educational curriculum needed to succeed.

Each Wednesday at Noah’s Ark, Chapel is held for the two, three and four year-olds. The four year-olds serve as acolytes, carrying the American flag and Bible to the altar. A Chapel lesson is presented, ending in prayer that the students repeat. The children each bring a canned food item to donate to the Greenwood Food Bank as their offering.
